Here is my Twine ExerciseSince entering into the dimension of writing and literature, I have seen myself more as an aspiring poet than a potential storyteller or essayist. While I have indeed took part in both genres, I have discovered that writing in verse is the best way for me to effectively express my inner thoughts; ideas seem to flow more naturally in poetry whereas the other genres require heavier maintenance, constricting the mind's fluidity.
Exploring the realm of digital media has certainly been a different experience. I had my doubts in the beginning, for I have little knowledge when it comes to the functionality of technology (I had never even touched an HTML program until now). Being granted the opportunity to witness the magic that is within the code and learning how to apply it to my own work has illuminated a brand new door of creativity. The Twine story has challenged me to go beyond the boundaries of the physical page; words can only do so much when they are trapped, frozen on a piece of paper. Decorating a text in a digital fashion grants new life to the words, transforming them into something never seen before.
